• London Transport Route 164A Bus Stop 'e' Plate

This is a London Transport enamel bus stop 'e' plate for Route '164A'.

The plate is approximately 130mm wide x 125mm deep and weights around 250g.

Route 164A was introduced in 1934, running from Morden Station to Burgh Heath via St. Heller, Sutton, Belmont and Banstead. By 1938 it had been extended to Tattenham Corner Station via Tattenham Way. In 1979, after 45 years of operation, the route was withdrawn, partly replaced by route 80A.

The 'e' plate is in used condition with some edge chipping and surface discolouration and marking through weathering (see photo).
