Ewan McGregor leads a strong cast as Joe, a rootless drifter, who finds work on a barge, owned by Les and his wife Ella.

On route between Glasgow and Edinburgh they discover the body of a young naked woman floating in the water. Accident? Suicide? Murder?

As the police investigations progress, Joe and Ella embark on an intense physical relationship, heightening the tension in the claustrophobic barge and the ever growing web of deceit that Joe leaves in his wake.

Running time is approximately 94 minutes.
