A London Transport enamel bus stop 'e' plate for Route 148A Sunday in red.
Route 148A was introduced in 1955 running on Sundays between Leytonstone (Green Lane) and Dagenham (New Road) via Wanstead, Redbridge, The Drive, Ilford, Goodmayes, Becontree, Bennetts Castle Lane, Parsloes Avenue and Heathway. The route was withdrawn in 1963 having lasted just eight years. The route was reintroduced in January 1966 replacing Route 148 on that day, and again withdrawn in July 1971.
The plate is in very good condition with just minor edge wear (see photo).
The plate is approximately 130mm wide x 125mm deep and weighs around 250g.
I will send this plate by Royal Mail Tracked 48 or it can be collected by prior arrangement from Wickford, Essex.
