This is a London Transport Country Area enamel bus stop 'e' plate for Route '329'.
The plate is approximately 130mm wide x 125mm deep and weights around 280g.
Route 329 ran on Mondays and Wednesdays to Saturdays between Hertford and Nup End via Hertford North, Bramfield, Bulls Green, Datchworth Green, Woolmer Green, Knebworth and Old Knebworth. On Tuesdays there was just one return journey between Hertford and Kenbworth. The route was one of the first to be withdrawn by London Country, and the number was reused in 1973 for the renumbering of the 328A which ran between Stifford Clays and Purfleet via Socketts Heath, Grays, Belhus and Aveley.
The 'e' plate is in generally good condition although does have some edge chipping, particularly on the left and this will be due to the unusually thick enamelling which probably caused it to be forced into the bus stop runners (see photo).
It will be sent POST FREE by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery to UK addresses.
