This is a London Transport Country Area enamel bus stop 'e' plate for Route '428'.
The plate is approximately 130mm wide x 125mm deep and weights around 250g.
Route 428 was a long-establisged route that ran between East Grinstead (Bus Station) and Dormansland (Plough) via Baldwins Hill, Felcourt and Lingfield.
In the 1970s it was often worked by XF class double-deckers.
The 'e' plate is in good condition with just slight weathering and a small edge chip (see photo).
It is not easy to find 'e' plates for Route 428 as there would only have been a handful - in East Grinstead town centre and at the Dormansland terminus.
It will be sent POST FREE by Royal Mail Special Delivery to UK addresses.
