This auction is for an EFE Exclusive First Editions 1:76 scale model 15635F -
London Transport RM588, registration number WLT588, running number HT173, on route 609 to ISLINGTON GRN via Tally Ho Corner, Holloway Road, Islington Angel.

Route 609 was a trolleybus route that ran between Barnet Church and Moorgate (Finsbury Square) via Whetstone, North Finchley, East Finchley, Highgate Station, Archway, Holloway Road, Highbury Corner, Upper Street, Islington Angel and City Road. On 30th April 1961 Highgate Depot was converted to a motor bus garage but had a Sunday allocation on trolleybus route 609, thus the 609 route number continued to be used until Finchley depot was converted to motor bus operation on 5th November 1961 when the route was renumbered 104. Consequently, RMs on route 609 only lasted for just over six months.

This model was commissioned by the London Omnibus Traction Society and was an extremely limited edition with only 256 being produced. They were available only to people who personally visited the LOTS Transport Spectacular on 4th November 2006.

The model comes with its numbered card inside the box, this model being No.236 of the 256 produced.

It is an extremely rare model and one of the most interesting routes on which a model has been based.
